Empowering Indigenous Womxn

Women are able to attend the annual Indigenous Womxn Legacy Leaders event, hosted every spring. The webinar series focuses on creating a safe space for womxn to learn about business, financial wellness, and e-commerce. (buying and selling goods and services online) Did you know that Financial Wellness is not just about the health of your finances, but how your finances impact your physical, mental and social well being? We’ve designed the event to create a non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere by weaving mental health practices such as yoga and meditation. NATOA brings Indigenous womxn and leaders together to create a memorable experience, fostering connections and encouraging opportunities for womxn to thrive within the economic landscape. Economics is how individuals, businesses, and governments make choices about how to allocate money or resources.

Why are Women’s programs so important?

  • Promoting a culture of financial health for Indigenous equity and gender equality
  • Creating a space for learning financial literacy to increase their skillsets for financial management and access tools to help them make informed economic decisions and have a better grasp of their worth in the marketplace.
  • Our objective is to break the cycle of poverty and exclusion of Canada’s most vulnerable group and reduce the gender pay gap and contribute to a better, fairer, and more sustainable future for Indigenous youth, girls, and gender diversity across Canada.
