Heather has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Geography from the University of Toronto. Heather has been involved in the financial industry for over ten years and holds professional licenses as a mutual fund and life insurance broker. With five years as an operations manager in the manufacturing and renovation industry, Heather developed strong management, HR and administration skills, and understood the importance of working as a team on all production and delivery levels. Heather has a passion for organizing and executing events for banquet halls, as she has done for 15 years.
Heather is committed to ensuring women worldwide have their needs met and has volunteered for ten years to coordinate events for Save the Mothers, an international charitable organization equipping African leaders to save the lives of women and children. During the pandemic, Heather filled a void in her hometown of the Durham region with limited access to menstrual products, which birthed The Period Box in 2020 to support people struggling with period poverty. She is hoping to be able to one day serve all of Canada.
