Alanna was a founding member of NATOA and continues to serve on the Board as the Director responsible for the Membership Committee. Alanna antcipates graduating from Cape Breton University’ MBA in Community Economic Development Program in May 2014.
She hopes to someday study Indigenous trust using the seven grandfather teachings (love, honesty, humility, wisdom, respect, bravery, truth) as the basis for her research at the PhD level, in the hopes of applying it to future Community Trust votes.
She is a full-time mom to Cameron and Sarah Basham, and enjoys karate training, cycling, music and reading.
